Chicken Cacciatore
Traditional dinner on your table in 25 minutes.

Serves 4

Ingredients

Qty Unit Ingredient
4 ea Chicken breasts - boneless skinless
3 Tb Flour
1 Tsp Oregano - dried
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Pepper
1 1/2 Tb Olive oil
1 ea Onion, medium, chopped
2 Tsp Garlic - minced
1 Can Stewed tomatoes - 16 oz, undrained
1 ea Green bell pepper, large, chopped
2 C Rice or noodles, whichever you prefer, cooked


Instructions

Combine flour and seasonings in plastic bag. Add chicken breasts, one at a time, shaking to coat. In skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add chicken; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Turn, add onion and garlic. Continue 4 to 5 minutes or until onion is crisp and tender. Add tomatoes and green pepper. Cook uncovered, about 8 minutes until chicken is no longer pink inside and sauce thickened, turn chicken after 4 minutes. Serve over hot, cooked rice or noodles.
