Herbed Butter and Pasta
Kids love this dish, claim it's their favorite.

Serves 6

Ingredients

Qty Unit Ingredient
1 pkg Gemilli or other spiral shaped pasta - 16 oz
1 C Fresh basil, chopped
2 Tb Butter
1 Tb Olive Oil
1 Tsp Garlic, minced
2 Tb Pine Nuts - optional
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/2 C Parmesan cheese, grated


Instructions

Prepare the pasta according to package directions. Chop herbs. When pasta is five minutes from being done, melt butter in a large heavy skillet and add oil and pine nuts and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Before draining pasta, reserve half of a cup of the pastas cooking water.

Add the drained pasta, pasta cooking liquid, herbs, salt and Parmesan cheese and toss over low heat for 2 minutes until it is warmed through and cheese is melted.
