Pasta with Bacon Bits
This is a family favorite!

Serves 6

Ingredients

Qty Unit Ingredient
1 lb Linguine
1/2 C Romano cheese
2 Tb Olive Oil - Extra virgin
1/2 C Bacon, minced
Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Combine oil and bacon in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the meat is browned, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn heat off. Cook pasta until it is tender, yet not mushy. Reserve a cup of pasta water, and drain pasta. Toss drained pasta with meat and meat juices. Stir in the cheese . Add a little water if the mixture seems too dry. Season to taste, and serve.
