Lowfat Crockpot Garlicky White Bean Dip
Wonderful flavor. Serve warm or room temperature.

Serves 12

Ingredients

Qty Unit Ingredient
3 Can Cannellini beans- 15. 5 oz, rinsed and drained
1/2 C Water
1/2 C Parmesan cheese, grated
4 ea Garlic clove, thinly sliced
2 Tb Olive oil
2 Tsp Dried Sage
1 Tsp Dried Oregano
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/8 Tsp Freshly ground black pepper
3 Tb Fresh lemon juice
1 Tsp Lemon zest


Instructions

Put beans, water, cheese, garlic, oil, oregano, salt, sage and pepper into 5 or 6 quart crockpot and mix together. Cover and cook for 1 to 2 hours on high and 3 to 4 hours on low. When finished cooking garlic should be soft.

Add lemon juice and zest and stir to combine. Mash contents of crockpot with a potato masher or large spoon until everything is well blended. Serve.
